Whether you are taking your first breaths underwater or you are a seasoned diver, you will receive a warm, personal welcome and small-group guiding on every dive.
Where we are and where we dive
We are situated directly in front of Danjugan Island in Brgy. Bulata. It only takes 10 minutes to reach the island from our location.
At Amila, you can explore the amazing underwater paradise at our dive sites. We dive at established, protected marine reserves where you can discover a wide variety of marine life. Our reefs offer some of the most exceptional dives, and almost all our spots can be reached within 5 to 15 minutes by boat, with some located right in front of the resort. You’ll encounter huge coral gardens and a diverse range of rare species on the reef. We provide scuba diving training, excellent fun dives, and exciting night dives. Our sites are a haven for macro photographers. They are usually uncrowded, providing a fantastic new experience for divers of all levels.

What a typical dive day looks like
Most guests do two to three dives a day. After a relaxed breakfast for two, you gear up at the beach and head out by boat to the day’s sites — typically a reef or wall in the morning and a macro or pier dive in the afternoon. Night dives, including fluorescent (fluro) night dives, can be arranged on request. Advance booking for diving is strongly recommended so we can prepare equipment and guides for your level.
Diving FAQ
Do I need to be certified to dive at Amila?
No. Beginners can start with a Discover Scuba Diving experience, while certified divers can join guided fun dives or continue their PADI training.
How far are the dive sites from the resort?
Most sites are a 5–20 minute boat ride, and several reefs are right in front of the resort, so you spend more time underwater and less time travelling.
What marine life will I see?
Expect healthy coral gardens, turtles, giant clams, black-tip reef sharks and outstanding macro life such as ghost pipefish, frogfish and nudibranchs.
When is the best time to dive?
Diving is good year-round. December to May offers the calmest water and best visibility, which is ideal for wall dives and underwater photography.
Can you arrange diving for non-certified partners or families?
Yes. Non-divers can snorkel, freedive, kayak or join an island-hopping or Danjugan Island tour while others dive.
Do you rent equipment?
Yes, modern Scubapro rental gear is available for all sizes and experience levels. Advance booking is recommended.
